The action "A book full of trees" was implemented in collaboration with the well-known author Christos Economou and the also well-known theater educators [nomades artcore], from September 29 to October 6, 2024 at the Amorgos Botanical Park.
Using two short stories as raw material, “That Weeping Tree” by Christos Economou and “Autumn Trills” by Kallirroe Askaridou, which outline different ways of connecting humans with trees, an experiential theater workshop was held so that participants could connect with these stories.
At the same time, a creative writing workshop was held with the aim of helping participants write their own short story (up to 350 words) with the tree as the central theme.
The first part of the action was completed with the planting of a young mulberry tree next to the new Katapola kindergarten. We hope that it will bloom and bear fruit. We wish that children will always play in its shade.
The second part of the action followed with the publication of a digital book (in collaboration with Mairina Matthaiopoulou), which includes the stories of the participants and photographic material from the workshops and the planting.
